Basketball Recap: St. Michael's Comes Up Short

St. Michael managed to slip by Santa Fe Indian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The St. Michael's Horsemen were beaten by the Santa Fe Indian Braves 65-31 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Horsemen have suffered since January 16th.

Despite the loss, St. Michael's still got an impressive performance from Gianna Sanchez, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 12 points. Sanchez is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games she's played. Ariana Rivera also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

St. Michael's is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-17. As for Santa Fe Indian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-6.
