Volleyball Recap: Glenbard North Gets the Win

Glenbard North won the last time they faced Riverside-Brookfield and things went their way on Saturday too. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Rayyan Shaikh paced Glenbard North's offense, picking up nine kills. Shaikh got some help from Josh Faro and his 35 assists. Matthew Almonte controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Glenbard North's win bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they now have a losing record of 15-16.

Glenbard North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against St. Charles North on the 12th. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Hinsdale South on the 11th.
