Soccer Game Preview: Fulshear vs. Alief Hastings

The Fulshear Chargers will square off against the Alief Hastings Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Alief Hastings took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Fulshear, who comes in off a win.

Fulshear is headed into the game having not lost since the fourth and will look to keep things rolling. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Alief Taylor on Thursday. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Lions are ranked 584th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Alief Hastings didn't have quite enough to beat Alief Elsik on Thursday and fell 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost three in a row.

Fulshear is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-1-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those six contests. As for Alief Hastings, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1.
