Soccer Recap: Joliet Catholic Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Joliet Catholic can now relate to. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Coal City Coalers who were credited with the victory on Friday. The Coal City Coalers got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers' two. One thing that didn't help Joliet Catholic's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Jackson Kodiak.

Joliet Catholic's goal came courtesy of Charlie Czerkies, who's now up to nine this season.

Joliet Catholic now has a losing record of 9-10-1. As for Coal City, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Joliet Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coal City, they will face off against Herscher at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
