Braden Atkinson Dazzles in Rolesville Win

Starting off the list is Rolesville's Braden Atkinson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Atkinson threw for 325 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Millbrook's probably not too fond of Atkinson given he always seems to get the better of them. When Atkinson last faced the Wildcats back in October of 2023, he threw for 418 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Ladainian Person Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Friday, Heritage got the W thanks in part to LaDainian Person playing the best football he has all season. Person rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

With the victory, Heritage broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-6. Person and Heritage are taking a road trip to face off against Wake Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rashad Streets Turns in Another Game with at Least Two Sacks

Millbrook came up short on Friday despite Rashad Streets delivering his best game to date. Streets wasn't messing around, picking up 2.5 sacks and making 15 total tackles. The game was his fifth straight with two or more sacks.

Millbrook moved to 6-1 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. Streets and Millbrook will host Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cypher Made His Presence Known in Millbrook's 35-0 Defeat

Quinton Cypher continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 19th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least eight total tackles. He made 18 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and snagged an interception.

If history really does repeat itself, Cypher might just drop another big game when he faces off against Wakefield on Friday. When Cypher last faced the Wolverines back in October of 2023, he picked up a sack and made 16 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
