Basketball Recap: Pike Central Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Pike Central Chargers had to suffer through a 53-22 loss at the hands of the Perry Central Commodores. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Commodores are ranked 154th).

Pike Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Perry Central, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

When Pike Central and Perry Central next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Pike Central will try to stop Gibson Southern's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Perry Central will square off against Orleans and their eight-game winning streak at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
