Recap: St. Joseph Catholic Eagles vs. Covenant Christian Cougars
The St. Joseph Catholic Eagles's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down Covenant Christian 43-28. This was payback for St. Joseph Catholic, who suffered a 45-23 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Covenant Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. St. Joseph Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Allen Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Allen Academy is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Covenant Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against O'Connell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. O'Connell comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
