Basketball Game Preview: Gallia Academy Blue Devils vs. South Point Pointers

The Gallia Academy Blue Devils and the South Point Pointers will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. South Point took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Gallia Academy, who comes in off a win.

Gallia Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ironton 47-17. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, South Point was beaten by Portsmouth 73-20 on Thursday. The Pointers haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Gallia Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. As for South Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.
