Berkeley won the last time they faced Alameda and things went their way on Thursday too. The Yellowjackets narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hornets 3-2.

Berkeley was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-20, 19-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Berkeley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Alameda, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Berkeley will square off against rival Castro Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Alameda is set to take on their familiar foe Encinal at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
