Basketball Recap: Red Hill Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses at Home

There's no place like home for Red Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 45-34 victory over Wayne City/Cisne on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Salukis as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Red Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caitlee Gray, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Riley Moore, who posted 11 points.

Red Hill's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-12. As for Wayne City/Cisne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Hill will head out to square off against Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Red Hill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Wayne City/Cisne, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Johnston City at 3:00 p.m. on February 1st.
