Volleyball Recap: Troup Tigers vs. Grand Saline Indians

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Troup had no problem doing just that on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Grand Saline Indians out 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Troup wouldn't go down easily and took Grand Saline into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 17-15.

Georgia Ray was a one-man wrecking crew for Troup as she had 17 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Ray has posted since back in October.

Troup's win bumped their record up to 21-19. As for Grand Saline, they moved to 24-10 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Troup is on the road again on Thursday to play Harmony at 7:00 p.m. Harmony will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Troup surely won't give up without a fight. Grand Saline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
