Softball Recap: Ulysses' Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Ulysses suffered their biggest defeat since April 29, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cimarron Bluejays, falling 8-0. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bluejays earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Addi Harbour spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ulysses fell to 3-1. As for Cimarron, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ulysses will host Stanton County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 12.6 runs per game this season. As for Cimarron, they will welcome Holcomb at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
