Baseball Preview: Titusville Rockets vs. Conneaut Area Eagles
The Titusville Rockets will head out on the road to take on the Conneaut Area Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Titusville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
On Friday, Titusville needed a bit of extra time to put away Grove City. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Eagles.
Brett Schmidt made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Schmidt was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with an RBI.
