Baseball Game Preview: Wellsville Tigers vs. Chaney Cowboys

The Wellsville Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Chaney Cowboys at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Wellsville and six for Chaney.

Wellsville came up short against David Anderson on Monday, falling 16-2.

Leland Monte made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Chaney lost 11-5 to McKinley on Thursday.

Wellsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Chaney, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything went Wellsville's way against Chaney when the teams last played back in April of 2022, as Wellsville made off with a 10-0 win. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Cowboys have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
