Soccer Recap: Jersey Shore Takes a Loss

Jersey Shore managed to keep up with Midd-West until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bulldogs lost 6-0 to the Mustangs. While losing is never fun, Jersey Shore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Midd-West are ranked 24th).

Jersey Shore has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-2 record this season. As for Midd-West, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Jersey Shore is set to square off against their familiar foe Selinsgrove at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Midd-West will take on rival Williamsport at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
