Thursday just wasn't the day for Cuyahoga Falls' offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Louisville on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Cuyahoga Falls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 417th, while Louisville are ranked 204th).

Cuyahoga Falls was without their leading scorer, Muhammad Omonov, in Thursday's contest. With Omonov sitting this one out, Stefan Talmachev got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 42).

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three match, Archbishop Hoban brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Their defense stepped up to hand Firestone a 7-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Archbishop Hoban, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

With the win, Archbishop Hoban broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 6-8-2. As for Cuyahoga Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
