Veritas Christian won the last time they faced Kansas School for the Deaf and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles blew past the Jackrabbits 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Veritas Christian was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-12, 25-10.

Despite the defeat, Kansas School for the Deaf saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Maria Lawrence had 15 digs and four assists.

Veritas Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Veritas Christian and Kansas School for the Deaf will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Eagles see the court they'll take on Perry-Lecompton at 5:00 p.m. on September 23. As for Kansas School for the Deaf, their break will end when they face Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy at 5:30 p.m. on September 9.
