Baseball Recap: Lake Stevens Comes Up Short

Lake Stevens was the 6-1 winner over Shorewood when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Lake Stevens took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shorewood on Tuesday.

Aspen Alexander and Seth Danielson did some serious damage despite the final result: Alexander went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Danielson scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI Alexander has posted since back in April of 2024. Julian Wilson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Lake Stevens' record is now 2-2. As for Shorewood, their record now sits at 4-2.

Coming up, Lake Stevens is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Kamiak at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lake Stevens 3.5, Kamiak 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Shorewood, they will welcome Lynnwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shorewood is facing Lynnwood at the right time seeing as Lynnwood is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
