Volleyball Recap: Quinn Kaechele and Hope Fitzherbert Secure Win for Maranatha Christian

Maranatha Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Lakewood on Saturday. The Eagles came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Leading Maranatha Christian to victory were Hope Fitzherbert and Quinn Kaechele. Fitzherbert had 15 digs and one assist, while Kaechele had ten digs and four aces. What's more, Kaechele racked up 31 assists, the most she's had over her last six games. Ella Fizzard also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Maranatha Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Lakewood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

Maranatha Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Campbell Hall on the 13th. As for Lakewood, they will venture away from home to square off against Millikan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
