Volleyball Recap: Ellis Takes a Loss

The Ellis Railroaders came up short against the Decatur Community Red Devils on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13.

Leah Reed paced Ellis' offense, picking up ten kills. Reed got some help from Taylor Kohl and her 13 assists.

Ellis dropped their record down to 10-23 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Decatur Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-17 record this season.

Ellis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Decatur Community, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Quinter on the 25th.
