Liberty Charter has gone a perfect 3-0 against San Diego Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lions will head out on the road to take on the Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Liberty Charter has five straight wins, San Diego Academy has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Liberty Charter came out on top against Ocean View Christian on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 13-run second inning. The Lions blew past the Patriots 20-1. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.
Layla Montgomery made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Everything went Liberty Charter's way against San Diego Academy in their previous matchup back in April, as Liberty Charter made off with a 27-1 victory.
