New Castle put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers. Six seems to be a good number for the Hurricanes as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Zoe Shields spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, New Castle let Olivia Hood and Aliyah Stalczynski run wild. Hood scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3, while Stalczynski went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Stalczynski is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Keara Mangieri was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

New Castle's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, New Castle will challenge Butler at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Northgate at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
