Christian Boldt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times he's played. Nicholas Boldt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Heritage Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 22-9-1. As for Marshall, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6-1 record this season.
