Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Stuart's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

After losing to Osmond the last time they met, Stuart decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Stuart Broncos snuck past the Osmond Tigers with a 40-35 victory on Thursday. The team ran away with 28 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.

When it comes to explaining why Osmond lost, don't look at Kaleigh Miller. Despite the final result, she went 7 of 13 on her way to 17 points and eight rebounds. Miller has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Stuart has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Osmond, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stuart won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Elgin/Pope John at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Stuart will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Osmond, they will square off against Wakefield at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
