Softball Recap: Trenton Tigers vs. Chiefland Indians

Trenton extended their postseason success on Thursday against Chiefland. They never let the Chiefland Indians onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Trenton, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Addison Allaire made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Allaire has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Allaire was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and a double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Haley Blankenship, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Addilynn Welbers was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing three bases.
