Softball Recap: Henrico Has No Trouble Against John Marshall

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mechanicsville, Henrico was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the John Marshall Justices 16-6. Considering the Warriors have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Henrico is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for John Marshall, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Coming up, Henrico will face off against Highland Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Springers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.64 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for John Marshall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Armstrong at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
