Basketball Game Preview: Babylon Panthers vs. Cold Spring Harbor Seahawks

The Babylon Panthers will square off against the Cold Spring Harbor Seahawks at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Babylon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Sunday. They claimed a resounding 57-22 win over Mattituck. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Babylon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Logue - Boyd, who posted 18 points. Morgan Fiedler was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Meanwhile, Cold Spring Harbor came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Frogs to the tune of 61-28. Given the Seahawks' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Frogs are ranked 480th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cold Spring Harbor's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Babylon, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.
