Softball Recap: Glenn Extends Winning Streak to Three

Glenn proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 20) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings 1-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won three games in a row.

The result came thanks to McKenzie Timm's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Glenn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

The win got Glenn back to even at 12-12. As for Tippecanoe Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Looking ahead, Glenn will face off against Plymouth at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Tippecanoe Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
