Morgantown had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Parkersburg South Patriots on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Mohigans, who have now won five matches in a row.

MADISON WISMAN spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Morgantown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ANNE ROBINSON, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Morgantown's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Parkersburg South, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-7.

As of now, neither Morgantown nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
