Baseball Game Preview: Cumberland Dukes vs. Amelia County Raiders

Cumberland is 2-8 against Amelia County since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Dukes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m.

Cumberland is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot.

Meanwhile, Amelia County got themselves on the board against Prince Edward County on Tuesday, but Prince Edward County never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Eagles. The Raiders have beaten the Eagles the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

The win got Amelia County back to even at 1-1. As for Cumberland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
