Basketball Recap: Columbia Central Lions vs. Pope John Paul II Knights
Columbia Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt an 83-49 loss at the hands of the Pope John Paul II Knights. The Lions lost against the Knights in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 71-60 score last time.
Osby Cavin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pope John Paul II, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points in addition to six assists and five boards. Those 32 points gave Cavin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamden Days, who made all 9 shots he took to post 23 points and seven rebounds.
