Basketball Game Preview: Founders Classical Academy Centurions vs. Awaken Christian Lions

Founders Classical Academy is 1-7 against Awaken Christian since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Founders Classical Academy Centurions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Awaken Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. Founders Classical Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

Founders Classical Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 67-45 margin over Indian Springs two weeks ago. The Centurions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Founders Classical Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Adrik Butler out in front who posted 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Bruning, who earned 21 points.

Meanwhile, Awaken Christian suffered their biggest loss since January 26, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 54-23 defeat at the hands of Boulder City. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Awaken Christian and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for Founders Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Founders Classical Academy came up short against Awaken Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 64-52. Can Founders Classical Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
