Baseball Recap: St. Bernard's Victorious

It's playoff time, and St. Bernard had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Piner Prospectors on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Crusaders have posted since April 1st.

The team relied heavily on Tyler Maples, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

St. Bernard's moved to 18-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Piner, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

St. Bernard's wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Miramonte on the 23rd. Piner does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
