Basketball Game Preview: Legacy Lightning vs. Skyline Falcons

The Legacy Lightning will face off against the Skyline Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Legacy will be strutting in after a victory while Skyline will be coming in after a loss.

Legacy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Fairview 43-19. The Lightning have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 24 points or more this season.

Olivia Mortensen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The game was her 21st in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Schmidt, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Frederick and fell 68-9. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-2.

The win got Legacy back to even at 5-5. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
