West Ranch is  a perfect 10-0 against Golden Valley since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Wildcats will face off against the Grizzlies at 3:15  p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Friday, West Ranch didn't have quite enough to beat Hart and fell  6-5.
 Mikey Murr put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed four innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   three  hits. Murr was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs.
 Murr wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Hunter Manning, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI.  Ryan Oh was another,  going 1-for-2 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Golden Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Valencia.
  Skyler Sears and  Ayden Renstrom did some serious damage despite the final result:  Sears  went 2-for-5 with two  runs and one  RBI, while  Renstrom  got on base  in three of his six plate appearances with three  runs and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Connor Anderson, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run and one  double.
 West Ranch has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record  this season. As for Golden Valley, their record is now 8-15.
 West Ranch was able to grind out a solid  victory over Golden Valley when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, winning  6-3. Will the Wildcats repeat their success,  or do  the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
