Volleyball Recap: Baker Comes Up Short

After flying high against Summit Leadership Academy on Tuesday, Baker came back down to earth. The Braves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mojave Mustangs on Saturday. If the Braves were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Mojave scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21.

Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Mojave, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Baker didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Burroughs on the 6th. As for Mojave, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lancaster Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
