            University's last matchup with Bridgeport could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's  contest on Wednesday. The Hawks came up short against  the Indians, falling  11-4. The Hawks' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
 James Bryner was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  pitched five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits. That's the fewest  hits  he has allowed since back in March.

 Coming up, University will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Buckhannon-Upshur  at 5:00  p.m. As for Bridgeport, they will venture away from home to  take on Robert C. Byrd  at 12:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.4  runs per game this season.
