Soccer Recap: Tascosa Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tascosa can now relate to. They fell 4-2 to the Colleyville Heritage Panthers on Friday. While losing is never fun, Tascosa can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Colleyville Heritage are ranked 48th).

Rylee Anderson and Maren Peck scored both of Tascosa's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Tascosa moved to 12-6-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Colleyville Heritage, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2-1.

Tascosa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Colleyville Heritage, they will face off against Amarillo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Amarillo's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Colleyville Heritage's offense will have their work cut out for them.
