There's no place like home for Tehachapi, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Taft Wildcats on Tuesday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 11-0 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Cadence McIrvin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Kayden Grigsby was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Emma Roed was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

The win snapped Tehachapi's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-6 record. As for Taft, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tehachapi will take on Paraclete at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Paraclete's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Tehachapi's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Taft, they will head out on the road to challenge Monache at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
