Baseball Recap: Edsel Ford Wins Going Away Against Franklin

Edsel Ford hadn't done well against Franklin recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Thunderbirds put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 16-6 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Thunderbirds' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Anthony Dietrich made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Dietrich was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted over his last nine contests.
