Belmont entered their tilt with River Ridge on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Timberwolves a 1-0 shutout. The one-run effort marked the Braves' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The result came thanks to Carsyn Ramaker's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Claire Runde, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Belmont's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for River Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-3.

Coming up, Belmont will square off against Potosi/Cassville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for River Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Benton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
