Preview: North Henderson Knights vs. Pisgah Bears
The North Henderson Knights will be playing at home against the Pisgah Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Even though North Henderson has not done well against Hendersonville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. North Henderson walked away with a 77-64 win over Hendersonville. Winning is a bit easier when you drain five more threes than your opponent, as North Henderson did.
North Henderson found their leader in underclassman Noah Pierce, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Rowe, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Pisgah suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of East Henderson by a score of 60-57. Pisgah has struggled against East Henderson recently, as their match on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
North Henderson's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Pisgah, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 10-6.
North Henderson beat Pisgah 84-71 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Does North Henderson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pisgah turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
