Recap: Roger Bacon Spartans vs. Clermont Northeastern Rockets
The Roger Bacon Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 58-27 win over Clermont Northeastern. The victory was just what Roger Bacon needed coming off of a 71-33 defeat in their prior matchup.
Roger Bacon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgan Rohling out in front who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rohling has scored at least 25% of Roger Bacon's points. Leah Fulton was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Roger Bacon's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Clermont Northeastern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roger Bacon will be home for the holidays to greet Wyoming at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wyoming is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Clermont Northeastern, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Clinton-Massie at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th. Clinton-Massie is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
