Baseball Recap: Montrose Gets the Win

Montrose came out on top against Webberville on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Rams skirted past the Spartans 8-6. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Spartans on Monday, they had to take a 5-1 loss.

Montrose saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Thompson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Thompson a new career-high. RJ Cummings was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Montrose's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Webberville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11-1 record this season.

Montrose will take on Durand at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Webberville, they will square off against Morrice at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
