Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart lost against Opelousas Catholic back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sacred Heart Trojans fell to the Opelousas Catholic Vikings 63-57.

Sacred Heart has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Opelousas Catholic, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-11.

Sacred Heart has already played their next game, a 49-46 defeat against North Central on the 4th. As for Opelousas Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-50 loss against JS Clark Leadership Academy on the 4th.
