John Paul II Catholic waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 63-18 stomp they got against the Northwest Halifax Vikings. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Vikings are ranked 373rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead John Paul II Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cam Daise, who went 7 for 9 on her way to 18 points and six steals. Aaliyah Hinnant was another key player, going 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.
