Basketball Game Preview: North Wilkes Vikings vs. Forbush Falcons

The North Wilkes Vikings will challenge the Forbush Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Wilkes comes in on 14 and Forbush on six.

North Wilkes can't be too worried about heading out to take on Forbush: they just beat Surry Central at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. North Wilkes claimed a resounding 67-33 victory over Surry Central. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Forbush beat East Surry 56-47 on Friday.

Forbush pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for North Wilkes, their victory bumped their record up to 21-1.

North Wilkes was able to grind out a solid win over Forbush in their previous meeting back in January, winning 64-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Wilkes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
