Volleyball Recap: Pine View Wins Going Away Against Piute

Pine View won the last time they faced Piute and things went their way on Saturday too. The Panthers put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Pine View never let Piute on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-23.

Ella Fiefia paced Pine View's offense, picking up ten kills. Fiefia got some help from Emma Schuman and her 14 assists. Fiefia also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kiera Samfong, racking up four apiece.

The victory got Pine View back to even at 3-3. As for Piute, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine View will host Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piute, they will challenge North Sevier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
