Basketball Recap: BASIS Flagstaff's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

BASIS Flagstaff won the last time they faced St. Michael, and Daniel Quiroz did his part to make sure it happened again. The BASIS Flagstaff Yetis claimed a resounding 64-26 victory over the St. Michael Cardinals thanks in part to Quiroz, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 22 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Iori Cruz, who posted 11 points and five steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

BASIS Flagstaff's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-7. As for St. Michael, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

BASIS Flagstaff didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-33 victory against Rough Rock on the 28th. As for St. Michael, they will face off against Fort Thomas at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
