Baseball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Crater Comets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Comets this season, with their most recent loss being a 20-0 defeat on Thursday.

Springfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Wasson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Crater, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Springfield nor Crater have any future games scheduled.
